This is my first post on here. I got the idea from my cousin, Amy, who has an adorable baby girl named Ayla.
It's hard to believe Maya is already almost six months old. Father time seems to run a little faster when you have a baby.
Maya has certainly been a joy these past five and a half months. She's a happy baby, therefore, makes daddy and I happy. Sure, she has her tantrums, but so do I! Maya cut her first two teeth at only three months old. I keep thinking she's going to cut more anyday, but they are taking their dear time.
Maya loves to look at people. Especially at mommy and daddy. She will look into our eyes and smile and coo forever. Nothing could be better. She loves taking a bath, she has two of her own infant bathtubs, she now fits in her big, yellow, plastic ducky who quacks when you press his bill. Unlike many babies though, Maya usually objects to going for car rides. She gets bored in the car and she makes sure everbody knows it. Night time is the worst! But. . . if she has a cell phone to play with, she calms down. I'm interested to see how she deals with the car trip from TN to TX we are taking with my Dad at the end of the month.
I must warn you now. Miss Maya Lee should come with a warning label; she absolutely loves to pull hair, necklaces, and anything else that dangles. Don't say I didn't warn you!
We started her on her rice cereal at the end of September. It's hilarious trying to feed it to her. Messy too. She tries the grab the spoon, puts her fingers in her mouth once she gets a spoonful, and then if she's in a goofy mood she will smile and then blow the cereal at whoever is feeding her. It's a mess, but it's a lot of fun. I don't even have to say it's all over her when she's done!
